III. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION – None

IV. MINUTES – 

April 19th, 2022 – Motion to approve 1st Finn and 2nd Davis. All members present voted yes in favor of approving the minutes with none opposed.

V. TREASURER’S REPORT – Walsh – Motion to approve 1st Cooney and 2nd Nix-Coleman. All members present voted yes in favor of approving the minutes with none opposed.

VI. ONGOING BUSINESS 

1. Amtrak Station Committee – Improvements – Follow Up Questions: Why is the fire extinguisher not there? Can we remove the cases that hold Amtrak information? Could we put a secured TV in there with information about the city on it? Are we putting mulch on the flower beds? Can Amtrak move their ADA lift to their sign?

i. Potential Partnership with Museum/Light and Lens

1. Light and Lens Club is willing to donate copies of photos for the interior of the Amtrak Station.

ii. Potential Partnership with KC

1. The side of the building would work well for a metal art installation from KC or something for a photo op.

2. We should consider putting concrete down on the sides rather than the loose gravel.

3. There is the potential for a metal hot air balloon sculpture to be place somewhere around town as an attraction/photo op.

4. We need to update the map that is nearby to help wayfinding around Centralia.

2. Status of the Trolley & Trolley Committee

i. We should set up an event with an agenda that goes from place to place with SCT either with the trolley or with their buses.

ii. We should increase the frequency of the trolley as a mode of transportation around Centralia maybe one Saturday a quarter or tied to events.

3. Event Sponsorship

i. This is going to be tabled at the moment until next year.

VII. NEW BUSINESS 

1. Introduction to City Manager – William Smith the new city manager introduced himself and offered his time for anyone with questions or if they wanted to meet with him anytime it could be arranged at city hall.

IX. ADJOURNMENT – Motion to approve 1st Nix-Coleman and 2nd Finn. All members present voted yes in favor of approving the minutes with none opposed.
