HSHS Home Care is organizing a drive to collect diapers and baby wipes for the Family Maternity Center at HSHS St. Francis Hospital. The initiative, called “Cram the Car,” encourages community members to donate these essential items or provide monetary contributions.

On Thursday, February 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., an HSHS Home Care vehicle will be stationed outside the main entrance of St. Francis Hospital to receive donations.

Valerie Engelbart, Volunteer/Bereavement Services Supervisor for HSHS Home Care, said, “Cram the Car inspires me every year when I see how our neighbors, friends and colleagues come together to care for the community. It’s a privilege to deliver their generous donations. Let’s see how many cars we can fill!”

The event aims to support mothers in need by supplying them with basic necessities for their infants.
