The HSHS St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary is now accepting applications for its annual scholarships, according to a March 10 announcement.

The scholarships are intended for students whose main residences are in Montgomery or Macoupin counties and who have completed at least one year of college while pursuing degrees or diplomas in health-related fields. The Auxiliary will award three scholarships, each valued at $1,000.

Applicants will be evaluated based on the information they provide in required documentation, essays, letters of recommendation, and personal interviews. Financial need will also be considered for one of the awards.

Scholarship application forms can be found on the hospital’s website at hshs.org/st-francis/giving-volunteering/volunteer. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted by April 30.

The scholarship program aims to support local students entering health professions and encourage them to continue their education.
