In February, the median sale price of a home in Macoupin County rose by $7,250 from the same period in the previous year, while total sales remained unchanged, according to BlockShopper.com.

There were 40 homes sold in the county in February, with a median sale price of $101,500 — a 7.7% increase over the $94,250 median sale price during the same period of the previous year. In comparison, 40 homes were sold in Macoupin County in February 2025.

Based on the latest available data from 2023, the median property tax in Macoupin County was $1,519, which stands at 1.5% of February’s median home sale price.
