HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese will hold a health fair on Saturday, September 27, from 6 to 10 a.m. The event will take place in the hospital’s medical office building at 9515 Holy Cross Lane in Breese.
The health fair will offer several screenings, including a comprehensive panel for $45, which requires a 10-hour fast with only water allowed. Other available tests are Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) screenings for $15, Hemoglobin A1C for $10, and Vitamin D screening for $15. Blood pressure checks will be provided at no cost.
Participants must preregister online through the MyHSHS portal starting August 29 at 9 a.m. Registration closes at the end of the day on Friday, September 12 or when all appointments are filled. On-site registration is not available and only those who preregistered can attend. Payment is due on the day of the health fair by credit card, check made out to HSHS, or cash; no payments are accepted during preregistration.
Insurance billing is not offered by St. Joseph’s Hospital for these services. Attendees may submit their receipts to their insurance providers independently but the hospital will not process insurance claims.
Results from the screenings will be posted to participants’ MyHSHS accounts; they will not be mailed or faxed to healthcare providers. Attendees are responsible for following up on any abnormal results found during the fair.
Participants should park in the main lot off Holy Cross Lane and enter through the medical office building west of the main entrance. Wearing short-sleeved shirts is recommended to make blood draws easier.
