HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese will hold a free Car Seat Safety Check event on Tuesday, September 23. The event is scheduled from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and will take place in the front parking lot of Breese District 12 Elementary School at 777 Memorial Dr.
A certified child passenger safety technician will be available to assist parents and guardians with checking that their child’s car seat is installed properly and to answer related questions.
The Illinois Child Passenger Protection Act mandates that all children under eight years old must be secured in an appropriate child safety restraint system, such as car seats or booster seats with a lap/shoulder belt.
