HSHS ST. FRANCIS HOSPITAL: HSHS St. Francis Hospital Offers Online Stop Smoking Class
HSHS St. Francis Hospital issued the following announcement on May 14.
HSHS St. Francis Hospital is offering an online stop smoking class through Bridget Rolens, mind-body health services educator at HSHS St. Francis Hospital. The online classes will be held every Monday, July 8, through Aug. 12 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Quitting smoking is not about just breaking a “bad habit.” It is about changing your life so cigarettes are no longer a part of it. This six-week support group program “Stop Smoking. Start Living” is based on a model developed by Yale University using the practice of mindfulness to meet and overcome cravings for cigarettes. Participants are supported by a wellness coach and classmates as they move through the six-week program toward a smoke-free life. Registration deadline is Friday, July 5, and the suggested donation is $60. Individuals may contact Rolens at (217)544-5483 or email@example.com to register for the class.
