HILLSBORO AREA HOSPITAL: HAH Summer Lunch Program Starting June 3rd

Hillsboro Area Hospital issued the following announcement on May 30.

Hillsboro:

Enjoy free daily activities, food, speakers, swimming and gym play at Hillsboro Area Hospital's Summer Lunch Program! The program provides free lunch and activities for kids 18 & under from 12-1pm on Mondays-Fridays from June 3rd through July 26th (except for July 3-5).

Note: Children under six must be accompanied by an adult 18 or over. Meet at the Fusion Fitness and Aquatics main entrance at noon or use complimentary transportation services from a district school bus that picks up at the following locations:

Monday-Friday

11:35 Beckemeyer gym doors

11:40 Downtown South Main and Wood Street

11:45 Central Park Pool

11:50 Housing authority

11:55 The Corner Store (Kink’s Corner)

12:00 Hillsboro Hospital

What Else?

FUSION swim days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (must have a Fusion waiver and release form on file at Fusion. Forms can be picked up at the Summer Lunch Program or at Fusion. Please have suits on under your clothes when you arrive, and bring a towel.

Wednesdays are Fusion Gym Days

***BONUS FUN (Witt, Irving, Coffeen)

Join us at Fusion for swimming. A Hillsboro District school bus will pick up children twice weekly to swim at Fusion and enjoy lunch at the Hillsboro Hospital’s Summer Lunch site. See the schedule below for your pickup time. (Note that on swim days, lunch will be provided at the hospital, not delivered to your site. However, meals will be delivered each day during the first week of the program. Swim pickup will begin the week of June 10.

MONDAY/TUESDAY – Meals served at Hillsboro Area Hospital

11:15 pickup at Coffeen United Methodist Church Annex

THURSDAY/FRIDAY – Meals served at Hillsboro Area Hospital

11:10 pickup Witt Lions Building

11:20 pickup Irving United Methodist Church

The program ends at 1:00 in Hillsboro and children will be returned by bus to the pickup point after that.
