City of Carlyle issued the following announcement on May 31.
Congratulations to the City of Carlyle Electric Department for being awarded two awards at the 2019 IMUA-IMEA Annual Conference in Springfield, IL.
Awarded First Place - Group A Division - 2018 APPA Safety Contest. This is the 2019 IMUA Safety Award for meritorious achievement in attaining a low-incidence rate in 2018 and in recognition of its safe operating practices throughout the past year.
Also awarded the 2019 IMUA-IMEA System Achievement Award. In recognition of the many achievements, successes and contributions related to the enhancements of its municipal electric generation and distribution systems, outstanding safety record, service to customers, ongoing energy-efficiency initiatives, community betterment and overall dedication to the precepts of the public-power business model.
