City of Carlyle Zoning Board met Jan. 16.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The meeting was called to order by Zoning Board Chairman Bill Beckemeyer on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 6 p.m. at Case Halstead Library located at 550 6th Street. Zoning Board members present included Matt Dannaman, Wilson Lappe, Scott Rakers, and Bill Beckemeyer. Gene Jurgensmeyer, Chuck Simms, and Jenny Carpenter were absent. Others present included Jamie Nordike, Andy Brackett, and Martha Reinkensmeyer.

After reviewing the minutes from the January 2, 2020 meeting, Wilson Lappe made a motion to approve the minutes. Matt Dannaman seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

There were no public comments.

There were no Zoning Board comments.

The third item on the agenda was the variance request form JBJP Properties. It is requesting approval from the Planning Commission to build an expansion to the Super Wash building with a 2’ setback on the east side versus the required 17’ front lot setback and a 17’ setback on the south side versus the required 25’ rear lot line setback per City Code 40-4-46 in a B-2 Highway Business District within the City of Carlyle. The legal description of the property is Subdivision Upper Carlyle Block 1 Lot 1 & 2 & PT of Lot 3, Parcel ID 08-07-13-454-003 commonly known as 1210 Abbott Street, Carlyle, IL 62231. After reviewing the variance request, Wilson Lappe made a motion to approve the request. Matt Dannaman seconded the motion. After roll call, all were found in favor.

There was no old business.

There was no new business.

With no further business to discuss, Wilson Lappe made a motion to adjourn. Scott Rakers seconded the motion. Finding all in favor, the meeting was adjourned at 6:07 p.m.
