CITY OF BREESE: It's Been a Wild Ride

Announcement

City of Breese issued the following announcement on May 3.

May 4, 2021 is my last day in office as Mayor. I started on the Council in 1987 as a 4th Ward Councilman and became Mayor in May of 2009. I ran because I wanted to see more recreational activities in Breese. Then I learned about Utilities, Public Works, Police, Zoning and the rest. I wanted to be an advocate for Breese and our area. I want to say Thank You to all the people who have supported and worked with me during this time. I can't say enough about your support.

This City of Breese FB page was a way to stay in touch with residents and their needs. We have 5,286 LIKES and 5,634 followers on this page. I never thought it would grow as large as it has.

I always thought Breese and this area has a lot of strengths, great schools, fantastic parks and a quality of life as good as anywhere. I always felt that good things happening to any one City in this area was good for all Cities. I have been lucky to work with many people giving of their time and efforts. I have promoted business and the jobs they create. Good jobs will keep our area strong.

A new team is coming together starting May 5. The new Mayor, Kevin Timmermann, will continue to work to better the quality of life in our area. I hope you will support them and question them. They need to hear from you and you need to hear from them. FB has been my way to listen and inform.

THANK YOU; THANK YOU; THANK YOU!!! AND REMEMBER ME IN YOUR PRAYERS.
