Stephanie A. Kifowit led Republican Patty Smith in votes cast in Wheatland Township for the District 84 state House race, according to the latest vote count.
Kifowit appeared to outpace Smith by a margin of 27.1 percent on Tuesday in the township.
In comparison, the 2014 winner, Republican Krishna Bansal, won by a margin of 13.2 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Democrat Stephanie A. Kifowit, who received 1,209 votes to Bansal's 1,577.
