City of Breese issued the following announcement on Dec. 28.
Our advocacy in awareness, prevention, and help for persons affected by bullying, violence, sexual harm or human trafficking continues and we are excited about our 2019 goals.
One of our first priorities is to prepare Comfort Bags for persons displaced by some form of harm.
- We are collecting donations for children, teen, adult, male, female, gender neutral necessities.
Comfort Bag items - adult & child toothbrushes, toothpaste, small blankets, small stuffed animals, coloring books, colors, shampoo, conditioner, combs, brushes, lavender lotions.
The items will be bagged and delivered to area Police Departments and advocacy resources. These small items can provide a great deal of comfort in a fearful, anxious, and sometimes quite painful process.
