Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Bond County?

There were six offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Bond County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by South Central Reporter.

The data shows that four men and two women were released in Bond County. The median age of the parolees was 34. The youngest parolee was a 27-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2017, and the oldest was a 45-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Janel M. Simpson. She was convicted of a property crime in 2016 when she was 29 years old. She is now 32.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter in each Bond County municipality.
