Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Christian County?

There were 13 offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Christian County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by South Central Reporter.

The data shows that nine men and four women were released in Christian County. The median age of the parolees was 38. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2017, and the oldest was a 74-year-old man sentenced for homicide in 2010.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Tara L. Bly. She was convicted of homicide in 2001 when she was 27 years old. She is now 45.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter in each Christian County municipality.
