Ordinance – An Ordinance Amending Subparagraph I. of Section 7-1-4 of the Taylorville City Code (re: cabin rental increases)

Resolution – A Resolution Authorizing Execution of Agreement to Demolish Property (re: Trevis Parker)

Ordinance – Approving the use of BDD Tax Funds for the Demolition and Debris, etc.

Removal Work Concerning the said 204 E. Main Cross Property

Motion to Award Bids for Curbs and Gutters, Sidewalks, Concrete, Fuel and Mowing

Motion to approve contracting with IEPA Division of Laboratory for the 2020-2021 Sampling Period for the sum of $12,346.12

Motion to amend Subparagraph J. i) of Section 6-9-4 of the Taylorville City Code to increase number of UTV permits by ten to a total number of 35

Motion to accept the resignation of Deputy Clerk Cindy Dey, effective May 1, 2020

Motion to hire Cindy Dey as an independent contractor, and not as any City employee, official, officer, agent or representative, for the period of May 1, 2020 to May 31, 2020 to train her successor in office, and to pay her the lump sum of $731.00 following satisfactory completion of her aforesaid training services; and with the proviso that she will be solely responsible and shall pay any and all taxes that may be attributable to such $731.00 contractual payment, and she shall not be entitled to any City work related benefits or compensation

Discussions and/or Motions to approve/adopt and/or deny and/or table and/or amend and/or refer to an appropriate Committee in whole or in part the matters regarding the following

There were No Committee Meetings held due to COVID-19 Protocols

Motion to approve and/or ratify payment of bills ($172,795.23)

• Per subparagraph (g) of 5 ILCS 120/2.06, this portion of the City Council Meeting is reserved for any person wishing to address the Council on any relevant subject matters concerning the City. The Illinois Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120/1 et seq.) mandates NO action shall be taken on subject matters not listed on the agenda, but the Council may direct staff to address the topic or refer the subject matter to a future Council and/or Committee Meeting. If anyone wishes to address the Council, please provide your name and address, limit your comments or presentation to three (3) minutes, and avoid repetitious comments. Thank you.

Motion to go into Closed Session pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(2) to discuss collective negotiating matters between the City and Police employees and their union representatives, and deliberations concerning salary schedules for such employees; and to further discuss any and all subject matters relating to any and all of the aforesaid subject matters thereto including, but not limited to, settlement negotiation, offers, issues and strategy, and to include, if present, the following persons to be present during all or part of such closed session, namely: the Mayor, Aldermen, City Clerk, City Treasurer, Human Resource Manager, City Attorney, and such other person or persons as the Mayor may decide during this City Council Meeting and/or during such closed session

Discussion regarding the status of the aforesaid collective negotiating matters and salary schedules and any and all subject matters there to; and any motions relating thereto

Motion to go into closed session, pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(1) and (c)(3) to discuss the selection and appointment of Kayla Schneider to fill the position of a police officer, and the employment and compensation for such person; and to further discuss any and all subject matters relating thereto, and to include, if present, the following persons to be present in person or by FaceTime or teleconference during all or part of such closed session, namely: the Mayor, Aldermen, City Clerk, City Attorney, City Treasurer, Human Resource Manager, Police Chief, and such other person or persons as the Mayor may decide during this City Council meeting and/or during such closed session.

Motion or motions, if any, to be adopted regarding the aforesaid selection and appointment of Kayla Schneider of a person to fill the position of a police officer, and the appointment, employment, and compensation for such person and/or any and all subject matters relating thereto and/or any of the aforesaid subject matters discussed in open or closed session.
