Q4 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Marion County?

There were 30 offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2019 that live in Marion County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by South Central Reporter.

The data shows that 27 men and three women were released in Marion County. The median age of the parolees was 35. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced in 2019, and the oldest was a 53-year-old man sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Jeffrey L. Easley. He was convicted of a crime against one or more children in 2010 when he was 40 years old. He is now 51.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter of 2019 in each Marion County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
