City of Centralia Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee met Nov. 10

City of Centralia Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee met Nov. 10.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Present: Agee, Young, Patton, Pracht, Graham, Garrett, and Lawson

CRC Ex Director Germann

CRC – Allen

City – Harting

Youth – none

Absent:

Public Participation: None

Approval of Minutes: Irene Young made the motion to approve the minutes as presented and Calvin Lawson seconded. Motion carried with unanimously.

Treasurers Report: Report was given by Harting. Gayla reported that only interest was added to both accounts and no expenses reported. Ricky Garrett made the motion to approve, and Melissa Patton seconded. Motion carried. A question was asked about the getting a copy of the budget. Jack said that he is going to speak with the City Manager.

Monthly Reports:

1. CRD report

a. Scott Allen reported that the batting cages have been taken down and all is winterized at Rotary Park.

2. Youth Center

a. Calvin reported that on November 19th from 6:00pm -10:30pm they will host the Night of Blues at Castle ridge. Tickets will be $65.00 which will include a Dinner and Band. You can reserve a table of 8through the Youth Center.

b. On November 12th at 1:30 they will be giving out 500 turkey dinners.

3. City Report

a. Gayla had no report

b. Jack stated that anyone wanting to look at the city budget it is online. Old Business:

1. George said that he had spoken to City workers and thanked them for their work.

2. George reported that he had gone to the Youth Center and noticed that the back door is not meeting code for wheelchair accessibility. Calvin stated that this issue has been discussed at their board meeting and they are hoping the city will address it.

New Business: None

Adjournment:

Calvin Lawson made the motion to adjourn, and Melissa Patton seconded the motion. The motion carried.

The next meeting will be December 8th at noon hosted at the Rail.
