Q3 2022 Recap: 5 parolees from Clinton County convicted of drug crimes set for release

There were five offenders convicted of drug crimes living in Clinton County released on parole during the third quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the South Central Reporter.

The data shows all of the released offenders among the parolees were men. The median age of the parolees sentenced for drug crimes was 40. The youngest parolee was a 27-year-old man sentenced in 2022, and the oldest was a 50-year-old man sentenced in 2020.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Jesse D. Dietzel. He was convicted in 2020 when he was 38 years old. He is now 40.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The following table shows how many offenders convicted of drug crimes were paroled during the third quarter of 2022 in each Illinois county.
