IV. OLD BUSINESS
A. HOW DID FACT FINDING GO AND SHARING OUR RESULTS
1. Response Times
Dixon presented numbers going back three months regarding calls of service to a municipality who had no one working at the time.
In December and January, there were 38 calls for service. February to date had 47 calls for service. The average response time was abot 15 minutes but that is a little skewed as some of these calls could be calls handled strictly over the phone.
There was a question regarding what counted as a call and this is anytime someone calls for law enforcement whether it's loud music or domestic violence.
2. Finding names of Mayors, Chiefs, and City Council Members
The Clerk's office would have mayor and city council members contact information and the Sheriff's department had the information for the chiefs.
V. NEW BUSINESS
A. DISCUSS INVITING ALL POLICE CHIEFS TO NEXT MEETING
There was a discussion about inviting the police chiefs to the next meeting and try and explain what the goal of the committee was and help try and calm down some of the rumors. The committee decided to meet on Monday, March 25th and sent a letter to the Chiefs asking them to attend.
