City of Greenville City Council met May 28.

The Special Council meeting was called to order on May 28, 2024 at 6:00 PM by Mayor Barber. 

1. ROLL CALL 

Council Present: Mayor George Barber, Council Member Ivan Estevez, Council Member Kyle Littlefield, and Council Member Blake Knox

Council Absent: Council Member Lisa Stephens

Staff Present: City Manager Jo Hollenkamp, City Clerk Jody Weiss, City Attorney Patrick Schaufelberger via phone

Public Present: Jeff Leidel, Rebecca Sponsler

5. MATTERS OF COUNCIL CONSIDERATION 

5.1. Consideration to rescind motion made at the April 9, 2024 meeting concerning the proposal from Shafer Excavating to build foundation wall and continue wall to the roof line at Mario's to stabilize exposed exposed wall in the amount of $187,300. Motion by Blake Knox, seconded by Ivan Estevez, Motion to rescind the motion made at the April 9, 2024 meeting concerning the proposal from Shafer Excavating to build foundation wall and continue the wall to the roof line at Mario's to stabilize exposed wall in the amount of $187,300 with  conditions. 

RESULT: Carried  MOVER: Blake Knox SECONDER: Ivan Estevez AYES: George Barber, Ivan Estevez, Kyle Littlefield, and Blake Knox  ABSENT: Lisa Stephens

5.2. Reconsideration of the proposal from Shafer Excavating to build foundation wall and continue wall to the roof line at Mario's to stabilize exposed exposed wall in the amount of $187,300.

Motion by Blake Knox, seconded by Kyle Littlefield, Motion to approve the proposal from Shafer Excavating to build foundation wall and continue wall to the roof line at Mario's to stabilize exposed exposed wall in the amount of $187,300.

Motion by Kyle Littlefield, seconded by Ivan Estevez, to adjourn the Special Council Meeting at 6:10 PM.
