Report: Albers spent $6,992 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Albers School District 63 is down 4 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Clinton County school district spent $7,265 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $6,992 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 184 to 193.

Albers's spending in 2016-17 was 46 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
