Report: Carlinville spent $7,874 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Carlinville Cusd #1 is down 1 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Macoupin County school district spent $7,966 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $7,874 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1475 to 1495.

Carlinville's spending in 2016-17 was 39 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
