Report: Oakdale spent $9,487 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Oakdale Community Consolidated School District 1 is down 3 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Washington County school district spent $9,806 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,487 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 79 to 80.

Oakdale's spending in 2016-17 was 27 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
