Report: Mulberry Grove spent $9,542 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Mulberry Grove Community Unit School District 1 is up 1 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Bond County school district spent $9,445 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,542 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 445 to 391.

Mulberry Grove's spending in 2016-17 was 26 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
