Report: West Washington County spent $11,487 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at West Washington County Community Unit School District 10 is up 5 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Washington County school district spent $10,934 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,487 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 541 to 561.

West Washington County's spending in 2016-17 was 11 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
