Report: Damiansville spent $8,647 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Damiansville School District 62 is down 14 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Clinton County school district spent $10,108 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $8,647 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 124 to 102.

Damiansville's spending in 2016-17 was 33 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
