Report: North Wamac spent $8,002 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at North Wamac School District 186 is down 3 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Clinton County school district spent $8,235 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $8,002 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 124 to 147.

North Wamac's spending in 2016-17 was 38 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
