Cost of college went up for all students at Tri-County Beauty Academy

Tuition and fees rose 0.7 percent for 2017-18 at Tri-County Beauty Academy, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $13,600 to attend the private for-profit school this year $90 more than the $13,510 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 90 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 8 students received grants or scholarships totaling $28,467 and 9 students took out student loans totaling more than $29,197.

Including all undergraduates, 19 students used grants or scholarships totaling $70,774. Another 15 took out $49,292 in federal student loans.
