Taylorville Hospital issued the following announcement on Aug. 15.
Taylorville Memorial Hospital recently implemented a new inpatient dining experience for acute care and swing bed patients.
The new restaurant-style in-room dining experience features a new robust menu with a variety of food options, including information on specialized diets. Food service associates are available to help patients select the appropriate foods for their diets.
Meal orders are taken twice a day and delivered at 7:45 a.m., 11:45 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Family members or friends who are visiting a patient can purchase food in the cafeteria and bring it back to the room or order a guest meal for five dollars.
“Wholesome, nourishing and well-balanced meals are an important part of treatment and recovery,” said TMH manager of food and nutrition Kathy Moore. “At TMH, we make every effort to provide nutritious meals that are prepared according to your doctor’s orders while also trying to provide a great patient experience.”
Taylorville Memorial Hospital is a 25 bed critical access hospital with a mission to improve the health of the people and communities we serve. The hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization and is an affiliate of Memorial Health System.
