Staunton Community Hospital issued the following announcement on Aug. 16.
The Skilled Swing Bed Program at Community Hospital of Staunton is designed to provide patients with individualized, in-hospital care and physical rehabilitation to help them reach an optimal level of functioning. This post-acute care is designed specifically for patients who are discharging from acute care but need temporary additional care that cannot be provided at home or in a long-term care facility.
If extra care after a hospital stay is suggested by your doctor, you have the choice of where you rehabilitate. Why not choose to do so close to home? For more information, please contact the Case Management Department at CHS at 618-635-2200, ext. 4270.
