City of Salem issued the following announcement on Oct. 13.

Back in July, the City implemented a new online, bill-pay system with Xpress Bill Pay. We’ve been pleased with how well it has worked and the level of service and information it provides to Salem customers online.

To encourage customers to sign up with Xpress Bill Pay and for paperless billing, the City will offer three, $100 utility credits for customers who sign up. You must enroll with Xpress Bill Pay and sign up for paperless billing to be eligible for this offer. Deadline will be November 30, 2018. If you have already enrolled with Xpress Bill Pay and for paperless billing, you are eligible.

To create an online account with Xpress Bill Pay, simply visit https://www.xpressbillpay.com/#/ and click on “Create a New Account.” You will need to have your Salem, utility account number to complete signup. After you have signed up, look for “Paperless On” near the top of your account page to sign up for paperless billing.

For information on how to sign up with Xpress Bill Pay, use the following link to reach their FAQ page (https://www.xpressbillpay.com/faq/). You will be asked to provide a valid email address.

Only customers who sign up and remain enrolled in paperless billing will be eligible for the utility credit if selected.

Thanks, and good luck!
