New Business:

Kala presented the results from the Consultant Selection Committee and shared their experience interview the 4 firms that submitted. She stated they advertised in April and received all qualifications by May 14th. Firms were ranked based on their submissions and the selection committee decided to schedule interviews with each firm who submitted. Interviews were scheduled between July 11- July 16. After extensive deliberation the selection committee recommended Crawford, Murphy & Tilly for another 5 years. A motion was made by Jack Graham and Seconded by Tom Walsh to recommend Crawford, Murphy & Tilly to be the Engineering Consultant for Centralia Municipal Airport for the next 5 years, all in favor, motion carried. Kala stated the recommendation would be presented to City Council at the next meeting.

Kala stated that she is collecting data on the fuel system and the sales of fuel after hours vs while the airport is open to help in the decision making of whether we should have a 24 hours fuel sales terminal. She reminded that the one that we have will no longer be serviceable mid 2019 and we would have to decide whether to replace or not. She stated that she heard Philips 66 also has a machine that accepts credit cards which may be an option rather than replacing with another system by QT Pod. She would be collecting information on this option. Kala shared that Tom Walsh had contacted her earlier in the month to let her know that twice in the same week Dr. Panke had attempted to get fuel at Centralia Airport and could not pay by credit card and had to fly to Vandalia for fuel. Tom could not remember the time of day. Kala stated that if it would have been while the airport was open, someone could pay by credit card inside the terminal. Members also discussed the difference in price of fuel at our Airport vs area airports. Kala stated she also asked Shirl from Airgo about setting the fuel prices. She said the way Shirl explained it, it has to do with timing and where the bill is being received downtown taking a while to get back to her for updating the two systems stating fuel prices. Tom suggested this be addressed.

A motion was made by Jack Graham and Seconded by Tom Walsh to adjourn the meeting.
