Community Hospital of Staunton issued the following announcement on Nov. 8.
There has been some confusion regarding the closing of the surgery department at CHS. We would like to provide clarification and inform the public that surgical procedures, including ophthalmology/cataracts, colonoscopies/GI procedures, same day surgeries/laparoscopic procedures are still performed on a weekly basis and will continue to be performed at the Staunton campus throughout 2019. If you are in need of any of these services, please discuss with your practitioner.
