Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Dec. 7.
Congratulations to the "Whoville Christmas Experience" Downtown Business Decorating Contest winners! And thank you to all the participants! The windows look fantastic! Be sure to get out and about and visit the downtown businesses to see the little details that can't be seen from the road.
We also encourage you to pick up your tickets for "A Whoville Christmas Experience" this weekend. Tickets are still available, but won't be for long!
Salem Community Theatre and Cultural Center
"A Whoville Christmas Experience" Downtown Business Decorating Contest winners have been selected! Three $100 prizes will be awarded to: Kane Insurance, The Salem Times-Commoner, and the Marion County YMCA.
The three judges, who visited each of the businesses this afternoon, had a VERY difficult time choosing winners and were impressed by the decorations in the other windows as well: Quick Cash Gold & Pawn, The Baby Boutique, Two Sisters Consignment, and Happily Ever After!
The theater would like to thank all of the businesses who have decorated with the Whoville theme this year.even those who weren't downtown and a part of the contest! We encourage you to visit each of the businesses to see the wonderful and whimsical details in the windows (your kids would LOVE to see them up close)!! Let's make this an annual event!!
