PANA COMMUNITY HOSPITAL: Casner Honored at ICAHN

Announcement

Pana Community Hospital issued the following announcement on Jan. 14. 

Trina Casner, President and CEO, of Pana Community Hospital, was honored for her years of dedicated service to the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network (ICAHN) and its 57-hospital membership during ICAHN’s 2018 Annual Conference, held at the I-Hotel and Conference Center, Champaign.

Serving as 2017 President of this statewide organization, Ms. Casner served ICAHN’s Board of Directors as its President-Elect in 2016, as its Secretary/Treasurer in 2014-2015, and as a Board member in 2013. In addition to serving on the Executive Committee, she has also served as Chair of the Finance Committee, Chair of ICAHN Rural Recruitment, is a member of the Regulatory and Legislative Committee, the Issues Committee, the Vision Committee, the Trailblazer Committee, and also serves on the Board of the Illinois Rural Community Care Organization. She received ICAHN’s most prestigious award, the President’s Award, for outstanding achievement in 2015.

 “We will truly miss having Trina on the Board as she has been an incredible leader and friend of rural in every aspect of the word. Her vision, connections, perseverance, and expertise in the building of ICAHN’s new office, in addition to the expansion of her own hospital, has served all well,” said Pat Schou, ICAHN Executive Director. “We are lucky that even though she is finishing her term, she continues to work with us in several capacities and that we will still be able to benefit from her expertise.”

Trina began her career at Pana Community Hospital in 2001, serving as Chief Financial Officer. In 2009, she was promoted to Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer. In these roles she performed administrative oversight for all the financial operations of the hospital as well as the Home Health program, the Hospice program, and Physician Practice. On January 1st, 2012, Ms. Casner became President and CEO of Pana Community Hospital.
