Report: Mulberry Grove spent $9,673 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Mulberry Grove Community Unit School District 1 is up 10.5 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Bond County school district spent $8,753 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,673 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 411 to 438.

Mulberry Grove's spending in 2017-18 was 27.5 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
