Report: West Washington County spent $11,401 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at West Washington County Community Unit School District 10 is up 6.7 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Washington County school district spent $10,688 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,401 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 579 to 557.

West Washington County's spending in 2017-18 was 14.5 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
