Report: Damiansville spent $9,919 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Damiansville School District 62 is up 16.5 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Clinton County school district spent $8,517 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,919 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 124 to 101.

Damiansville's spending in 2017-18 was 25.6 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
