Report: Bond County spent $8,987 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Bond County Community Unit School District 2 is up 2.9 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Bond County school district spent $8,737 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,987 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1960 to 1831.

Bond County's spending in 2017-18 was 32.6 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
