Report: Sandoval spent $11,864 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Sandoval Community Unit School District 501 is up 8.3 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Marion County school district spent $10,957 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,864 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 506 to 487.

Sandoval's spending in 2017-18 was 11 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
