Report: Nashville spent $9,377 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Nashville Community Consolidated School District 49 is up 19.7 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Washington County school district spent $7,835 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,377 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 549 to 572.

Nashville's spending in 2017-18 was 29.7 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
