Report: Northwestern spent $10,790 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Northwestern Community Unit School District 2 is up 0.4 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Macoupin County school district spent $10,752 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,790 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 344 to 366.

Northwestern's spending in 2017-18 was 19.1 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
