Administrators in Central Community High School District 71 earn an average of $132,885 per year, ranking 62nd out of 864 districts in the state, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 10.9% higher than in 2014 and 9.7% higher than in 2009. District administrators make 23.9% more than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Clinton County school district enrolled 597 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 299 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
