Administrators in Pana Community Unit School District 8 earn an average of $98,782 per year, ranking 437th out of 864 districts in the state, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 3.5% higher than in 2014 and 9.1% lower than in 2009. District administrators make 7.9% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Christian County school district enrolled 1305 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 218 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
