Administrators in Breese Elementary School District 12 earn an average of $68,500 per year, ranking 821st out of 864 districts in the state, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 1.6% higher than in 2014 and 9.6% lower than in 2009. District administrators make 36.1% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Clinton County school district enrolled 605 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 303 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
