Salem home prices rise in the first quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2017 in Salem rose by $11,000 while total sales decreased by 3.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2017, there were 30 homes sold, with a median sale price of $73,000 - a 17.7% increase over the $62,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 31 homes sold in Salem in the first quarter of 2016.
