Mount Olive home prices rise in January 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2017 in Mount Olive rose by $5,000 while total sales increased by 75%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2017, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $57,000 - a 9.6% increase over the $52,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Mount Olive in January 2016.

The median sales tax in Mount Olive for 2017 was $1,114. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,138. This marks an decrease of 2.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2%.
