HSHS Holy Family Hospital issued the following announcement on May 23.
HSHS Holy Family Hospital is launching their first Prepared Childbirth class, providing a variety of education to help you learn about labor and delivery and decrease the anxiety over the process. The first of a two-day class will be held Thursday, June 6, beginning at 7 p.m. at Holy Family Hospital in the Cedar Conference Room.
Patient educator, Melissa Pellizzaro, will discuss topics to help mother and support person learn how to take an active part in the birth process. This free class will explore topics on the role of a labor coach, signs of labor, what to expect during labor and delivery, breathing and relaxation techniques and caesarean birth.
