2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Clinton County?

There were 16 offenders released on parole during 2018 that live in Clinton County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by South Central Reporter.

The data shows that 15 men and one women were released in Clinton County. The median age of the parolees was 38. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2017, and the oldest was a 60-year-old man convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Eric B. Wright. He was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2009 when he was 36 years old. He is now 46.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in 2018 in each Clinton County municipality.
